Processing process
The company utilizes a modern 60-ton electric arc furnace of the German company Siemens VAI, “Ultimate 2” class, which insorporates the latest technological achievements. In addition to scrap metal, specialists employ a process that involves smelting metallized DRI pellets and HBI (hot briquetted iron) pellets obtained from iron ore using the new technology of direct reduction of iron.
Installation of out-of-furnace processing "ladle furnace" for processing liquid steel in an argon environment
There is a four-jet continuous steel casting plant (CSCP) of the Turkish company “Demora”, with a radius of 10250 mm for the production of square and round billets, equipped with an electromagnetic stirrer and the “Cobalt-60” isotope, as well as automatic level cleaner in the meniscus of liquid steel.
In 2023, a Vacuum Degassing Unit (VDU), manufactured by Demora, designed to purify liquid steel from the hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen was installed at the plant.
